SUMMER LEAGUE FOOTBALL  7-aside

Summer League is played at Guthrie Park and is a great way for friends and family to get involved and play over the summer in mixed groups. 

This year we are running our very popular and fun Summer League over 2 nights!!!!

We have added the Wednesday to our regular Thursday evening league.

We have also introduced a mixed social team on Wednesdays at 6.15pm this means you must always have a minimum of 2 women on the field. All other grades have no minimum number of women players, but women are welcome to play in all of the competitions.

Please email  admin@hnwafc.org.nz to register your team, with your team's name, captains name and email and which league you would like to register for, so we make sure you get the spot you want!

Register soon as spaces are limited. Every year we have had to turn teams away and we don't want anyone to miss out!  I will reply to confirm if we have space and then you can head to our website and click on Summer League 2022 to register. www.hnwafc.org.nz

FAMILY LEAGUE- Designed to be a fun family night out, great for mums and dads to have a run around with your children, not to be taken too seriously!

MIXED SOCIAL- Designed for mixed teams and anyone new to playing football. It must have a minimum of 2 women on the field at all times.

SOCIAL LEAGUE- Designed for anyone playing Divison 3 or below to verse teams with similar abilities. This is meant to be played socially, and for fun. If you get 'white line fever' please enter the competitive league!

COMPETITIVE LEAGUE- Designed for anyone playing Division 2 or above to verse teams with similar abilities. This is the league for serious players, who like to have challenge!

ALL leagues have 7 players per team and two 20-minute halves are played.

Captain are encourages to find 10 players to allow for subs. 

Summer League will run from:

1. The games will be timed by an automated time-machine; games will start and finish on time
2. Field numbers and details of draw will be posted on club room window and Facebook
3. Balls and bibs must be collected and returned to sign in desk
5. It is a great idea to work out t-shirt colours for a united team look

SUMMER LEAGUE FOOTBALL RULES AND REGULATIONS 

These rules are in place to keep the game fair, fun and SOCIAL

• Only 7 players per team, including the goalie are allowed on the field during the game.
• Rolling subs through the game are to be made at the halfway line only, in which the player must be off the field before the subs can come on
• Game duration consists of 2 x 20min halves with a straight swap of ends at half time
• No attacking players can enter the Goalkeeper circle.
• All goals must be scored from outside Goalkeeper circle

OFFSIDES

• No offside rule will be played on the field, however no player other than the goalie can go into the goal circle at any time
• If a defending player touches the ball in the goal circle, a penalty will be awarded at the top of the circle. If an attacking player touches the ball in the goal circle, the keeper is given the ball

GOALKEEPER

• The Goalkeeper can only handle the ball in the Goalkeeper circle.
• The Goalkeeper is allowed to leave the goalkeeper circle at any time and move up the field.
• The Goalkeeper is not allowed to punt the ball at any time. Must be passed from the ground or thrown out only.
• The Goalkeeper can be changed only at half time

REFEREES

• No referee’s will be provided for these games
• Please remember this is a social event and everyone is here to have fun.
